Short Term Goals
- Develop a formal relationship with the University of North Texas-Dallas to influence its mission and to work together toward full university status as an Urban Redevelopment Institute
- Continue small business seminars
- Develop CEO Institute for southern Dallas
- Implement communications program with members and community
- Review bylaws
- Develop education package on beautification initiative for Oa Cliff property and business owners
- Partner with Operation Clean Sweep to clean up Oak Cliff
- Increase chamber membership retention
- Seek professional event counsel to help devise an event(s) plan to raise $72,000 needed for 2004 budget
Medium Term Goals
- Brand and promote Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce with comprehensive communications program
- Develop Public Improvement District
- Support Jefferson Improvement District
- Continue MOWmentum project
- Formalize leadership development program to develop future leaders for chamber
Long Term Goals
- Derive majority of operating funds from membership fees
- Develop growth plan that challenges mindsets to improve economic development in Oak Cliff beyond the Gateway project area
- Influence the implementation of the Urban Redesign Plan for the Davis-Bishop Arts area.
