Oak Cliff is continuing to be re-invented as the area of town that values conservation - both in terms of architecturally significant buildings, but also in terms of the environment. We're busy going "green" here in The Cliff. At the Oak Cliff Chamber, we endorse policies and practices that are environmentally sensitive so much so, that we've created an official position on the subject.  Not only is it the right thing to do, it cuts costs and creates a place where people want to invest. 

We want to continue to create a place that values pedestrians, bicyclers, and mass-transit users. A place where recycling is second nature, and energy efficiency is the standard we all live by, at home and in our businesses. This is not new or radical thinking to those of us who live and work here. One of the things that attracted all of us to this area is the opportunity to walk to our neighborhoods, parks, and shopping areas. Now we're preparing to take the next step.
