Description"Angels Love Donute" is a family feature film with a cast of characters whom all reside in Dallas, Texas. Shot exclusively in Dallas, the movie is a family friendly, humorous, and serious look at life, death, faith, and money.
Most Dallasites remember the Texas Theater as the site of the arrest of accused presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald at 1:45p.m. on November 22, 1963; one can see the location where Oswald sat before his arrest. The once thriving theater is partially renovated through efforts of the Oak Cliff Foundation and has been available for use since the recent premiere of "Oswald's Ghost." Interior renovations will continue to restore the Theater to its art deco design and decor, circa 1930.
The benefit premiere is planned as part of the "We Love Oak Cliff" renaissance movement happening in the Dallas suburb. Along with the growth of the neighboring Bishop Arts District, Jefferson Boulevard is slated for the future installation of a streetcar line to and from downtown Dallas. The boulevard is secured 24 hours a day by Dallas Police Department Neighborhood Surveillance cameras funded by community donations. Business is good and friendly on Jefferson Boulevard.
Tickets to the premiere are $10.00 each and secured valet parking will be available. Proceeds benefit local charities including the Oak Cliff Foundation, the Golden Oak Scholarships for Oak Cliff high school seniors, and scholarships for the Graduate Insititute of Applied Linguistics.
DVDs will be available for purchase at the theater -- available in Christian bookstores March 1, 2010.
